Jorge Yeregui es artista visual, arquitecto y profesor en la Escuela de Arquitectura de Málaga. Su trabajo investiga sobre la construcción del paisaje y la transformación del territorio. La relación entre arquitectura y medioambiente o la influencia de los mercados en el crecimiento urbano constituyen algunos de sus temas de interés. Sus trabajos mas recientes toman la forma de complejos ensayos visuales donde se combinan textos, vídeos e instalaciones.

Ha recibido premios, encargos y becas de la Fundación Botín, el Ministerio de Educación Cultura y Deporte, el Premio Internacional de Fotografía Contemporánea Pilar Citoler, el Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores o el Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo, entre otros.

Su trabajo se expone de forma habitual en muestras individuales y colectivas tanto en España como en el exterior. Acta de replanteo (2016), Inventario (2015), The Circles of Life (2013), New Botanics (2011) y On The Natural Contract (2010) son algunas de sus exposiciones individuales mas destacadas. Ha participado en múltiples exposiciones colectivas en reconocidos festivales de fotografía como PHotoEspaña Festival internacional de fotografía y artes visuales, Festival Internazionale di Roma (Italia), Pingyao Photography Festival (China) o Fotofestiwal (Polonia) y Foto30 (Guatemala), así como en la Bienal Iberoamericana de Arquitectura y Urbanismo celebrada en Medellín.

Yeregui también ha colaborado en proyectos de investigación y publicaciones con la Universidad de Córdoba, la Universidad de Salamanca y la Universidad de Cádiz, con quienes ha publicado 3 libros y una amplia monografía dedicada a su trabajo.

Su producción artística está presente en reconocidas colecciones, públicas y privadas como, Ministerio de Educación, Cultura y Deporte, Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores, Fundación Botín, Colección Pilar Citoler, Fundación Coca-Cola o DKV Seguros.

Jorge Yeregui is an architect, fine art photographer and lecturer at the University of Málaga. He studied Architecture at the University of Sevilla (2003). His photographic work investigates urban and territory transformations. The relation between architecture and environmental awareness and the influence of global markets on urban development are the backbone of his projects. His recent works take the form of large visual essays, often including texts, video and installations.

He has received awards, commissions and fellowships from the Botin Foundation (2013), Pla(t)form 2013 at Winterthur Fotomuseum, the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2011), Pilar Citoler International Contemporary Photography Award (2011), the Spanish Ministry of Culture (2010) and the Centro Andaluz de Arte Contemporáneo, among others.

His work is usually shown in solo and group exhibitions nationally and internationally. “Stakeout Act” (2016), “Inventory” (2015), “The Circles of Life” (2013), “New Botanics” (2011), “Minimal Landscapes” (2011) or “On The Natural Contract” (2010) are some of his most recent solo shows. He has participated in various group-shows on renowned photography festivals as PhotoEspaña International Festival of Photography and Visual Arts (Spain), Festival Internazionale di Roma (Italy), Pingyao International Photography Festival (China), Fotofestiwal (Poland) and Foto30 (Guatemala). Yeregui has also collaborated on research, exhibition and publication projects with the Universidad de Cordoba (2013), Universidad de Salamanca (2010) and Universidad de Cadiz (2010).
