Inventario es una acción que dura varias semanas y que se presenta a modo de exposición. Su ejecución atiende a unas instrucciones preestablecidas según las cuales la obra de arte transita por diferentes etapas y estados – objeto, imagen, documento – hasta su formalización final en formato libro.
La acción se inicia con la recolección de separadores de hormigón en una obra abandonada. Estos se depositan en el espacio expositivo a modo de “objet trouvé” y comienza un proceso de registro por el que se van retirando, fotografiando y sustituyendo por su imagen. Cuando termina el proceso el objeto ha mutado en imagen. Transcurrida una semana, las fotografías se retiran para ser encuadernadas y se muestran la sala en un libro compuesto por 4 volúmenes.
Inventory is an action lasting several weeks and presented as an exhibition. Its execution follows pre-established instructions according to which the work of art goes through different stages and various states – object, image, document – until it is finally presented in book format.
The action begins with the collection of concrete separators in an abandoned construction site. These are deposited in the exhibition space as an «objet trouvé» and a process of registration begins in which they are removed, photographed and replaced by their image. At the end of the process, the object has mutated into an image. After a week, the photographs are removed to be bound and displayed in the exhibition space in a book composed of 4 volumes.
